1.) How can I make a reservation?
To make a reservation You can simply call us or send us an e-mail request. For making a reservation we require Your name, the exact period of Your stay and Your credit card information a guarantee of payment (name of the card holder, card type, number and expiry date). You can pay by cash or credit card at the reception of the hotel.
2.) How do I reach Maestral Hotels?
All of our hotels are located at the same street (Masarykov put). If You are flying to Dubrovnik it will take You about half an hour to reach us. The airport is cca 25 km from the hotel. We offer a hotel shuttle service Dubrovnik Airport – Maestral Hotels and vice versa (service is charged). The official Airport Shuttle Bus stops at the Pile Gate and at the Dubrovnik Central Bus Station. When You get off the bus, continue Your journey using a taxi service or a local city bus. There is a taxi station at the airport as well. If You are coming by car, just follow the directions to Lapad Bay where You will find sign-posts for Maestral Hotels.
3.) How can I reach the Old Town?
Our hotels are on direct bus route to the historical center of Dubrovnik, which is about 4 km away. Regular bus line number 4 runs every 15-20 minutes. The ride last for about 10-15 minutes. You can buy bus tickets at the reception of the hotel, at any newspaper stand or on the bus. You can also reach the centre by taxi. Taxi station Lapad is nearby and the hotel reception will order a taxi on Your request.
4.) Where can I do some shopping?
The Old Town is a place for shopping, but do not hesitate to look through each alley, because You never know what kind of a new authentic store You will find. Beside many souvenir shops, You will find many small businesses such as lace-makers, jewelers and emroiderers selling their handmade products.
In the newer part of Dubrovnik You can also find some brand shops for shoes, clothes, cosmetics, and accessories (Shopping Malls „Minčeta“, „Mercante“ or the nearest on „DOC“). You ccan also visit a large shopping center „SUB City“ outside Dubrovnik (ask at the front desk where you can take a bus line number 10, and ask the bus driver at which stop you need to exit).
5.) Which excursions do You recommend?
If You are longing for a true serenity, visit Island of Lokrum, especially popular among couples in love, nature and history worshipers and many others. Take a regular boat line from the Old Town port, which runs every half and hour. Once there, You can visit Botanical Garden, Olive Garden, Benedictine Monastery, Dead Sea, and other interesting sites. Enjoy Your coffee or lunch in one of the restaurants.
Another idea is renting a car and driving through villages around Dubrovnik where locals are waiting to share their stories with You while You can enjoy a glass of local wine and cuisine.
If you are up to a while day trip, You should not miss visiting Island of Mljet, one of the eight National Parks in Croatia. Another alternative is to visit three islands – Elaphite Archipelago.
6.) Where is the nearest beach?
All of our hotels are situated near the sea, Vis and Splendid are located directly on the beach, whereas Komodor, Adriatic and Uvala 30 meters from the beach.
